Deck crane hyd cylinder maintenance

Challenge: The deck crane’s main lift cylinder showed bent rod sections and seal failure, undermining safe lift capacity.
What We Did:

• Removed the cylinder and straightened the rod to factory tolerances

• Sent the rod for fresh chrome plating and replaced the full seal kit and wipers

• Lapped the barrel for perfect rod-to-bore clearance

• Reassembled, repainted with marine-grade topcoat, and pressure-tested at 120 % working load
  Result: Crane regained full rated capacity, corrosion protection improved, and vessel operations resumed on schedule.
